Where to Stay

If you are coming from out of town, you might want to consider these places to stay:

Holiday Inn Bloor Yorkville - fairly middle-of-the-road hotel (i.e. standard Holiday Inn), but in a great location and only ~3km from Casa Loma.  Rooms cost about $130 per night. http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/en/yyzbs/hoteldetail

UPDATE:  We have booked a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Yorkville, under Duong/Willer Wedding, August 6-8, 2010, Reservation code: DWW, available until July 16.   "Wedding Package Rate: 20% discount off hotel's Best Flex Rate, choice of standard one queen bed or two double beds".   These special rates can be booked by contacting Reservations via:  E-mail: cn312res@whg.com , Phone: 416-968-0010, Fax: 416-968-7765.  Contact Barry Willer at 905 382 0007 if you have any problems.

Madison Manor Boutique Hotel - quaint, small hotel in old manor house (2.5km to Casa Loma).  No elevator, and some reviewers say some rooms might be noisy from nearby pubs (although you'll likely be out quite late at the wedding reception anyway).   Rates are $100 for a room and $190 for suites.   http://www.madisonavenuepub.com/madisonmanor/index.html

Intercontinental Toronto Yorkville - well-reviewed luxury hotel, 2km from Casa Loma.  ~$300 - 400 per night.  http://toronto.intercontinental.com/

Four Seasons Toronto - beautiful hotel ~2km from Casa Loma.  Rates are $350 - $450 per night.  http://www.fourseasons.com/toronto/

Our favourite option: bid on http://www.hotwire.com for a 4-star hotel in downtown Toronto. You can probably get something very nice for about $100 per night, you just won't know the hotel name until after you agree to pay for it.  You might have a more expensive cab ride after the wedding reception, or you might have to tip your designated driver a little more for a longer drive home.
